Really Improving Your Company’s Presence with the Right Design

Really Improving Your Company’s Presence with the Right Design - Rebecca Brown

You know they say you only have one chance to make a first impression, and that is most definitely true. The first thing that a customer sees about a company is likely to leave a lasting impression, so this is why you have to do the things outside of the business to really help it to succeed. Making sure the lawn is mowed, the parking lot is clear of debris, that there aren’t any water puddles, the windows are clean and the building is painted makes a big difference. No one wants to stop at a company where the place looks like garbage or in disrepair and so they won’t stop. Therefore, you have to do the things that make you look like a quality business.

You also have to find ways that make you stand out. Looking good is not enough. You have to look better or above the other businesses. This can be done in a variety of ways, but one of the best ways is by having a quality sign outside your business. That is what I learned.

I had been looking for ways to be more inviting to consumers. I was not having luck. One day, a customer came in and we were chatting about the struggles I was facing. She explained to me that the sign I had in front of my business was terrible. Actually, she told me my logo was not very good either. She said if I came by a display manufacturing company they had great designers that could really make something special for me, and then the job of making my sign could be done right there. It was free to come in and see what they could design so I went for it.

A few days later I met with her and she introduced me to one of their designers. He was very helpful and had some great ideas. In about 45 minutes he had come up with an amazing design for my sign, and he also developed the template I could use for stationary and business cards. It was amazing.

The cost was very reasonable to have the work done so I paid for two signs to be done and a disc that had all my logo information on it. They used a CNC drag knife cutter to etch the design into my sign and I was out the door. Now it is hanging proud and I am seeing a lot more customers. Now, I am making a really good first impression.
